Dapliyan Coffee was founded in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic by the couple George and Jessica Dapliyan. Despite having no formal background in coffee production, they managed to grow, harvest, and process coffee and eventually turn their sunflower farm into a coffee plantation.
In the 2021 Philippine Coffee Quality Competition(PCQC), this coffee placed 5th in the Arabica Category with a cup score of 84.36. In 2024, the Dapliyans were recognized for their coffee with bright acidity and delicate floral notes and won the Gourmet Bronze Medal for the Acidulé Floral category.
